Bottle, 5.0%. Roasted, coffeeish aroma. Clear dark brown colour. Very small head. The flavour has fresh-ground coffee, slightly sweet dark maltiness. Very very good Dunkel. pivnizub (4007), Porúří, Germany Nov 22, 2007 Bottled (bought at the brasserie): Dark-malty, a bit toasted nose with a tinge of ground coffee, reddish-amber coloured, slowly collapsing off-white head; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; moderate dark malty finish, underpinned by some bitterness and a discreet fruitiness, a tinge of cacao is also detectable. Moderately sweet toast-malty, bready and earthy aroma with light notes of caramel and a touch of smoke. Bitter-sweet flavour, medium to light bodied with a pleasant carbonation. Robust roast-malty, slightly bready taste with caramel and liquorice; almost dry, roasty and hop-bitter finish with a good length. Aromatic Dunkel.
