Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting.
Body is clear medium brown.
Aroma is moderately malty (toasted bread, cookie, caramel, nuts), lightly to moderately hoppy (flowers, herbs), trace yeast (dough).
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter.
Light to medium body, creamy texture, soft/lively carbonation.
Quite a fortuitous visit to the Ratskeller...ordered three beers at random and all were very good. A little more body would’ve been nice on this one, but overall quite nice.

Jan 31, 2008 Bottle. Poured a amber maroon lots of carbnation. Aroma is malty and soapy. Taste is full bodied and notes of malt and carmal nice brew.

Nov 8, 2007 Bottle. Spicy, christmassy and roasted. Beautifu copper-chestnut colouring, golden lacing foam. Very nice chewy fruity and spiced malt base, subtle aromatic hop profile. More akin to a dark Vienna IMO. Medium to full body, fine sparkly mouthfeel. Light roast retronasal. Nice.

Oct 17, 2007 Bottle: Copper to amber coloured, smaller off-white head, caramelly and toasted-malty nose with a tinge of coffee; moderate sweet, slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; suppressed traces of hops in the sweetish-malty finish. Not bad, pleasant........

Sep 25, 2007 (bottle) Clear, chestnut-brown to light-copper colour with a big and dense off-white foamy head. Moderately sweet and toasty cara-malty nose, slightly nutty and (sour-)doughy with toffee. Mild-sweet flavour, medium to light bodied with a medium carbonation. Toast-malty, nutty taste with subtle fruity notes; sweet and slightly bitter, malt-accented finish, again with shy hints of berry-fruits and a touch of chestnuts in the aftertaste. Rather unspectacular but quite quaffable, a good session-beer.
