| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 23, 2009 At Gingermans nyc. A very smooth and approachable imperial stout. Smoky malts, chocolate and espresso act as the driving force behind this brew. Interestingly, this brew did not kick me in the face like many ImpSto’s have done before. Likely due to the low alcohol for the style and taming creamy body. blipp (1723), Newark, New Jersey, USA

Roasty aroma, with an almost creamy sweetness. The flavor starts roasty, with some lighter sweet notes, and a smoky/burnt finish. Nice. Flavor/Palate : rich , ripe fruits , sourness followed with smoky dark malts, chewy malted end. Dry roasty character at finish with ash smoky accents. Interesting but not great.

Good combo. Tap at Ginger Man in NYC. Pours black with a little itty bitty tan ring. Nose is swet, malty and makes you want to take that first sip. Taste is sweet, slick wow, with a lot of nice sweet chocolate. yummers.... sfhodense (576), Odense NØ, Denmark
