Pours a murky dark brown to black with a thick and frothy tan head that settles quickly but still provides some glass lacing. Aroma is sweet malt, candy and brown sugar, molasses, caramel, bread. Flavor is more earthy with notes of sweet malt, caramel, banana, raisins, dark ripe fruit, and hints of molasses. Spicy chocolate and raisin bread aroma. Flavor starts with chocolate, caramel and dark fruit. A big finish of balancing dryness from earthy-peppery spice, roasted nut, and slight warming alcohol.
