Commercial Description:
During even the coldest of weather, warm up to the smooth, robust taste of our Winter’s Bourbon Cask Ale. Full of rich aromas that you find in the winter months, hints of vanilla and flavorful hops, this is a beer that is great for pouring into a large tulip glass and enjoying with friends around a fireplace.

This is wierd Nice amber color off white head Sweet aroma of vanilla extract and some bourbon Very overpowering The flavor is strong vanilla - not like ice cream more like extract used for baking Fairly sweet Medium mouthfeel Very lighly bitter on the finish Enjoyable I wouldnt seek this out again but if I had a 6 pack I wouldnt let it go to waste

From a 12 fl. oz. bottle marked 08291DF94. Nice looking amber red pour but a strange gray beige topping. Aroma of weak grapes and bread. Weird vanilla extract taste with some nutmeg thrown in. It tastes to much like hard liquor for my tastes.

Pours dark amber with a white head. Has very little aroma with only a hint of vanilla. Flavors of bourbon and vanilla dominate but almost no malt is apparent. Slight bitterness at the finish.

Pour a clear amber with an off white head. The aroma is loaded with vanilla notes and slight oakiness. The flavor is pretty much one dimensional with vanilla. There is a slight hint of the oak. Hop or malt flavor is undetectable and there is a slight graininess. Finish has a carbonated touch.

Pours a medium dark amber with a frothy off white head. Aromas of bannana, vanilla, with a hint of spice. Some of the aromas carry over into the flavor here with hints of spice and bananna with the vanilla coming through nicely at the end. My main disapointment was the lack of sweetness here. Average mouthfeel, though a little swooth. Slightly bitter end. Not bad all around.

Poured a clear brown amber color with small white head that dissipated quickly. Aroma was of bourbon and vanilla. Flavor was also of bourbon, vanilla, and some spice. Mouthfeel was a bit on the thin side. Drinkability was okay. Not the best beer, but I applaud Anheuser-Busch for making the effort.

Amber poor small billowy head. Tastes like cream soda and lager mixed. As the beer moves on it tastes like syrup that is used to make cream soda.

Bottle... Poured amber with a light brown head that faded immediately. Aroma was terrible and really disturbed my nasal passage, anyway there wasn’t much, just a dirty water smell. No carbonation which made a very unbalanced palate against the flavors. Tasted of vanilla and some malt and a stinging sweetness. This is the first I’ve had of the new craft line from Michelob, I wasn’t expecting much, but this was really bad.

Draught @ Kahootz - Pours amber with a small white head, aroma is dominated by sweet vanilla cream...flavour is like two parts Amberbock to one part cream soda extract...not entirely unpleasant, but much sweeter than I would normally drink, and I didn’t get any oak...
