Taste is very stong vanilla with a little spice, flour, and cookie taste. Most feel is a little sharp due to the vanilled spice but very quick. Finish is rich and vanillay.Clean lacing. BMan1113VR (2814), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 17, 2008 Sampled the ’07 and ’08 side by side. Pours a clear orange amber with big, settling off-whtie head. The ’08 is a shade darker. Aroma of honey, vanilla, and small hint of oak. Flavor is vanilla, caramel malt, and has a slight warming sensation. The ’07 has a slightly fuller body. Suprisingly, I doesn’t really bother me that it’s an AB product. mcjay (303), Neenah, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Nov 1, 2008 Light amber color with an off white head. Strong vanilla aroma and taste that is a little over powering, mild caramel malt presence but not much else happening. A shame to the bourbon cask ale but once again, props to Michelob for trying. Tastes sweet like graham, vanilla, and some caramel. Very pleased overall. I ,like many, was stunned to find out this was an A-B product. arventresca (338), Greenville, North Carolina, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Aug 21, 2008 Bottle. Pours dark amber with white head. Aroma of actual vanilla with a hint of caramel. Taste is pretty bland for a winter ale, but considering it is A-B it is a winner. Probably never buy it again unless it is the best choice on tap, but thanks for a decent effort. | 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Jul 18, 2008 Horrible. Tasted like a cookie. This is not what a winter beer is suppose to taste like. Had no idea it was AB’s beer. I really wanted to get into this beer but couldn’t. This was like eating a vanilla wafer.
