Flavor was sweetish malt, definite bourbon and some hints of oak. Only a little vanilla. No great, but decent. I wonder what it would score in a blind taste test if people didn’t know it was an A-B product? DubC5000 (197), San Diego, California, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/20 | Feb 25, 2008 A great attempt at micro-quality from the "King of Beers," but still falls short on many counts. I like the vanilla touch, but there is next to no bourbon-barrel taste. Pumpkin is there, as well as some cloves and other spices. The main problem I have is that each flavor stands out individually, rather than as a continuum. First you taste one thing, then all of a sudden a second thing, instead of transitioning smoothly between flavors. That said, the beer was still crisp, dry and refreshing after a day out skiing on powder, so I’ll remember it. cellardoor (45), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | Feb 18, 2008 Had this in STL served on draft. Had a miserable big bubbled head and a medium amber color with some unnerving cloudiness. Had a very sweet artificial aroma and an even more artificial sweet taste, not malty, more like a cream soda. I could only take two sips. fakepurseninja (777), Washington, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Feb 17, 2008 Had this on tap at Downtown Disney, Walt Disney World around Christmas 2007. Started ok, had a nice earthy malt with a sweet, caramel essence to it. Turned into a mess as it warmed. Too thin and sweet. Wierd vegetable notes with some vanilla and moss(?). | 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Feb 16, 2008 Pours brown with a moderate, white, fluffy head. Aroma is pretty caramel. Flavor is watery and caramel. I don’t taste bourbon in there honestly. gearbike (413), West Bloomfield, Michigan, USA

Drinkable but to bourbon or cask flavor. Thin and sweet. No wonder no I find out it is a Bush. TomDecapolis (3149), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Feb 13, 2008 On tap at Pat Obriens in Orlando. Pours a lightly hazy amber and a medium creamy off white head that left some lacing. Aroma of root beer, artificial vanilla and a touch of oak. Flavors were along the same. Very artificial...mix of vanilla, some bourbon and oak with a touch of malty sweetness and caramel. AmEricanbrew (1808), Doing Rogue, Louisiana, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 13, 2008 Copper color with little head. Sweet smell is mostly vanilla with some bourbon. Mostly vanilla cream flavor with hints of booze and wood. A malt driven beer here with a double shot of vanilla. 11706
