Optigon (561), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Feb 16, 2008 Pours brown with a moderate, white, fluffy head. Aroma is pretty caramel. Flavor is watery and caramel. I don’t taste bourbon in there honestly. gearbike (413), West Bloomfield, Michigan, USA Feb 15, 2008 Suprised to find a bourbon cask ale on tap at a bar. What a scam. Drinkable but to bourbon or cask flavor. Thin and sweet. No wonder no I find out it is a Bush. TomDecapolis (3127), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 13, 2008 On tap at Pat Obriens in Orlando. Pours a lightly hazy amber and a medium creamy off white head that left some lacing. Aroma of root beer, artificial vanilla and a touch of oak. Flavors were along the same. Very artificial...mix of vanilla, some bourbon and oak with a touch of malty sweetness and caramel. AmEricanbrew (1747), Louisiana, USA Feb 13, 2008 Copper color with little head. Sweet smell is mostly vanilla with some bourbon. Mostly vanilla cream flavor with hints of booze and wood. A malt driven beer here with a double shot of vanilla. 11706 OneMoreYouth (3), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA does not count Feb 13, 2008 good beer overall especially for the price. slightly watered down towards the end of the mouth. would consider buying again next year bigguns22 (88), Maryland, USA Feb 10, 2008 for anheuser-busch this is pretty good beer.med in color very light vanilla & bourbon flavor.this is a light cream and easy to drink beer. GaltScat (195), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Feb 3, 2008 Well, I had thought this would be enjoyable, however, if it says Anheuser-Busch, then it likely sucks and sucks it did. Extremely strong vanilla made this more of a carbonated vanilla soda pop than a beer. The labels says "ale aged on bourbon barrel oak" Take note that it does not say "in" it says "on". I bring this to your attention because there was nothing barrel nor oaked about this. Save your money. HogTownHarry (3922), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Feb 3, 2008 Bottle (12oz). Courtesy of tomthompson. Bright, clear coppery--amber, with a small fizzy off-white head. Sweet vaguely oatmeal malt, a little vegetal, with only a whisper of vanilla extract. The taste is very sweet and grainy, buttery, slick, flat and sugary, with a kind of Cap’n Crunch version of oakiness. Meh.
