Well, I had thought this would be enjoyable, however, if it says Anheuser-Busch, then it likely sucks and sucks it did. Extremely strong vanilla made this more of a carbonated vanilla soda pop than a beer. The labels says "ale aged on bourbon barrel oak" Take note that it does not say "in" it says "on". I bring this to your attention because there was nothing barrel nor oaked about this. Save your money.

Bottle (12oz). Courtesy of tomthompson. Bright, clear coppery--amber, with a small fizzy off-white head. Sweet vaguely oatmeal malt, a little vegetal, with only a whisper of vanilla extract. The taste is very sweet and grainy, buttery, slick, flat and sugary, with a kind of Cap’n Crunch version of oakiness. Meh.

Poured from a bottle. It looks like a glass of weak iced tea. Lots of carbonation (very small bubbles). It had a bit of a head that dissipated with minimal lacing around the edges. Week malty and vanilla aroma. Sweet fake vanilla flavor. No bourbon noted. It seems a bit syrupy to the mouth.

Draft. The aroma is all vanilla. The body is clear reddish amber. The taste is all vanilla. Easy to drink, pretty smooth, not that great.

I thought this was awful and wished AB would stop brewing nonsense. I was suckered into buying a 6pack for $10 and was very upset at the waste of money. Would never buy again.

From tap...Pours a cinnamon color with a thin, off-white head. It had a very pungent vanilla and toffee smell. Very smooth palate, but the taste was too overwhelmingly fake vanilla. I wouldn’t order this again.
