Commercial Description:
During even the coldest of weather, warm up to the smooth, robust taste of our Winter’s Bourbon Cask Ale. Full of rich aromas that you find in the winter months, hints of vanilla and flavorful hops, this is a beer that is great for pouring into a large tulip glass and enjoying with friends around a fireplace.

Poured from a bottle. It looks like a glass of weak iced tea. Lots of carbonation (very small bubbles). It had a bit of a head that dissipated with minimal lacing around the edges. Week malty and vanilla aroma. Sweet fake vanilla flavor. No bourbon noted. It seems a bit syrupy to the mouth.

Draft. The aroma is all vanilla. The body is clear reddish amber. The taste is all vanilla. Easy to drink, pretty smooth, not that great.

I thought this was awful and wished AB would stop brewing nonsense. I was suckered into buying a 6pack for $10 and was very upset at the waste of money. Would never buy again.

From tap...Pours a cinnamon color with a thin, off-white head. It had a very pungent vanilla and toffee smell. Very smooth palate, but the taste was too overwhelmingly fake vanilla. I wouldn’t order this again.

The appearance of the bottle is what led me to buy this beer. Perhaps the snowman reminded me of a Christmas long ago...anyways...poured somewhat dissapointing. No head to speak of. I didn’t really get a vanilla aroma or flavor, perhaps just a lack thereof. Overall...drinkable...but not enjoyable.

Smells like doggs beggin strips, weird smoky pork. Taste is all sweet synthetic vanilla. Very artificial toffee and sweetness. Fake beer.

One bottle. Not much head came from this pour. Has a dark brown color and aroma of caramel. Flavors of caramel with a strong amount of vanilla. Overall, not a bad attempt from AB as far as I’m concerned.

Dark amber orange pour with a good sized two finger off-white head. The head dissipated quickly to a very thin layer. The brew itself is too clear from excessive filtering. The aroma is faint but sweet and malty. This stuff actually tastes better out of the bottle than a glass. A sweeter version of an amber...like watered down cream soda mixed with sour apple juice. No roasted nothing and if there is bourbon in here I’ll kiss your ass. Faint vanilla... probably why it tastes like cream soda. No hops at all. Finishes metallic with an odd sourness on the back of your tongue, which is why it tastes like sour apple juice. Watery and overall....terrible. Just like I suspected.
