Perhaps the snowman reminded me of a Christmas long ago...anyways...poured somewhat dissapointing. No head to speak of. I didn’t really get a vanilla aroma or flavor, perhaps just a lack thereof. Overall...drinkable...but not enjoyable. JonR888710 (999), Cochabamba, Bolivia
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Jan 27, 2008 Smells like doggs beggin strips, weird smoky pork. Taste is all sweet synthetic vanilla. Very artificial toffee and sweetness. Fake beer. Ron (1011), Rochester, New York, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jan 21, 2008 One bottle. Not much head came from this pour. Has a dark brown color and aroma of caramel. Flavors of caramel with a strong amount of vanilla. Overall, not a bad attempt from AB as far as I’m concerned. gsteph (263), knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 1.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/20 | Jan 20, 2008 Updated: Jan 21, 2008Dark amber orange pour with a good sized two finger off-white head. The head dissipated quickly to a very thin layer. The brew itself is too clear from excessive filtering. The aroma is faint but sweet and malty. This stuff actually tastes better out of the bottle than a glass. A sweeter version of an amber...like watered down cream soda mixed with sour apple juice. No roasted nothing and if there is bourbon in here I’ll kiss your ass. Faint vanilla... probably why it tastes like cream soda. No hops at all. Finishes metallic with an odd sourness on the back of your tongue, which is why it tastes like sour apple juice. Watery and overall....terrible. Just like I suspected. biznizness (934), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA

| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Jan 19, 2008 Poured from bottle (1/2008). Vanilla dominates aroma. Looks like cream soda - head disappears fast. Oh jeez - tastes like cream soda too at first, with a weirdly sour aftertaste. Has feel of - you guessed it - cream soda - thin and sugary and bubbly. Finished badly - enough to cause tooth decay. Oh well, screwed by AB again. BelgianBeerGal (1283), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Jan 18, 2008 Bottled. Pour a rather light bronze colour for a winter ale with a thin white film on top. Slight vanilla and bananas in the aroma. WOW, artificial tasting vanilla flavouring covers any other flavour. Thin watery mouthfeel and palate plus a burnt finish. Better than most ABC junk but that’s not saying much spd2230 (1), USA does not count | 0.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/20 | Jan 17, 2008 Imagine a vanilla Michelob. Disgusting, right? There you have it. Don’t get me wrong, AB beers are watery, but generally palatable, this one is just nasty.
