| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jan 5, 2008 Clear, copper appearance with a small white head and scant lacing. Sweet, caramel malt aroma interlaced with vanilla. Taste is sweet as well; vanilla is there, but little evidence of bourbon or oak (bark maybe). Well carbonated, but thin on the palate. Finish falls apart; sour, gummy and short lived. estoppel (1028), Buffalo, New York, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 2, 2008 Draft. Amber body, flat with no head, vanilla nose. Sweet with vanilla notes. Not very good. pet3rman (206), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jan 2, 2008 Not as bad as everyone here says. I don’t like AB products as much as the next guy, but this one wasn’t that bad. Dark brown pour with thin head. Some roasted malt on the nose and sweet fruit at first taste. Thin palate is were it goes wrong. Decent flavor though. Rotorhead87 (117), Temple, Texas, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jan 1, 2008 Pours a dark reddish-brown with a small head. The taste is predominately vanilla with some bourbon sweetness as well. Not a bad brew, but not good either. rudolf (1751), Buffalo, New York, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 1, 2008 Rich copper, very thin head. Nose is roasty malt, cherries, almost light flemish red notes. Flavor is meladonins, cherries, fruit, light bourbon. Really sweet cherry/maraschino notes. Very artificially sweet. Toffee, cocoa & marshmallow comes through as it warms. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 30, 2007 Pours amber with a small off white head. Aroma is malty with hints of vanilla. Seems to have alot less vanilla bean taste than one I had last year at a bar, but still has a malty taste with a hint of vanilla in the background. A decent beer. | 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Dec 29, 2007 Light amber ale with very little head. Smells like hops and hops only. It also tastes like a ton of pelletized hops. desurfer (1067), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Dec 28, 2007 Light reddish gold body, little head. Faint vanilla aroma. Pretty much tasteless aside from a cloying, artificial sweetness and a slight hint of nutmeg. This sucks, even before I figured out it’s an AB product.
