Dec 13, 2007 Clear copper-brown with a fizzy off-white head. Vanilla apparent in aroma along with an amber malt sweetness. No hints of the "bourbon cask" in the name. light vanilla flavor over a light caramel sweetness. Slightly on the thin bodied side, with a quick sweet finish.

Dec 12, 2007 The best thing by far that I have ever had from A-B. Way more complex than anything else from them with nice spicy and fruity notes underlying the sweetish malt. Slight vanilla on the finish. DId a side by side with Sam Adams Winter Lager and I preferred this, but only slightly.

Dec 9, 2007 On tap. Pours dark red with thin white head. Vanilla syrup aroma, but not overpowering. Taste like a Xmas cookie with a hint of vanilla. Thick finish that was kind of chewy. I don’t see myself having another one of these.

Dec 9, 2007 A gift from my sister’s boyfriend. Now I’m not sure that he likes me. Pours a nice clear copper color with minimal head. Strange aroma-sweet-vanillla with malts. Taste was malty with vanilla-more like vanilla extract than beans. Watery malts finished the concoction. Enjoyed the last sip-mostly because the beer was finished.

Dec 8, 2007 Updated: Dec 12, 2007Bottle. Pours a copper/amber color with a medium off white head. I did not get too much on the nose, a slight vanilla note but not that much. Decent lacing on the glass. The taste was a watery malt with a faint vanilla finish. Not much going on with this one.

Dec 7, 2007 Pretty funky appearance actually. An odd reddish pour with a thin tan head. Vanilla aroma with some alcohol and vegetable in there as well. Highly carbonated, medium-bodied I guess. Strong, sticky sweetness. Caramel. Finish reveals what could be a decent malt presence if it weren’t for all the vanilla and booze. Not very good.
