| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Feb 22, 2007 Pours amber with tan head. Looks nice in a glass. Flavor is mostly vanilla and bourbon, but not in a good way, finish is slightly spicy. The finish is slightly odd, like artificial wood. The flavors just don’t seem to work together with this one. Even though this was from AB I had high hopes and this disappointed. natejgood (189), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 3/5 | 3/20 | Feb 20, 2007 This is one of the worst beers I’ve ever had. If it wasn’t for the fact that it has a reasonably nice color and the body isn’t too bad it would have gotten an even lower score from me. This beer is sweet (sickeningly so). It tastes as if someone took an ale and added ice cream, vanilla extract, and crappy bourbon. If the first taste isn’t bad enough, it leaves a syrupy taste in your mouth long after you have finished you last gulp. I wouldn’t rocommend this beer to anyone unless you like very sweet, syrupy beers. awaller05 (300), Sharon, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 19, 2007 A christmas gift from the little lady,so the rating has a built in bump because of the thought behind it. Over all this beer has a really different smell and after taste. I would recommend this only for the rating if you are fishing for ratings. SDbruboy (1832), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 18, 2007 12 oz. bottle courtesy of DarkElf. If I didn’t know it was an AB product, I wouldn’t have recognized it as such. Pours dark copper color with a large white head. Aroma is heavy with the spices, caramel malts and barrel notes, a little grassy and grainy as well. Flavor is initially sweet, with lots of spice, some vanilla and an occasional odd bitter floral note. Medium body and gentle carbonation. Not bad. goldtwins (4079), Nesconset, New York, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 16, 2007 Poured a just slightly hazed deep amber color with a large off-white head. Malty aroma of toffee and caramel with light vanilla and I guess you can say bourbon. Mostly just malt and vanilla. The flavor was malty with toffee notes and an artificial vanilla taste. Crisp finish with some warmth at the end. TheOrange (405), Kent, Ohio, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Feb 15, 2007 Light mahogany pour with a very small ring of bubbles that should have been a head. Aroma is of caramelized malts, and clove. Very thin beer, the flavor is overwhelmed by the vanilla flavor. Slower finish with a bit of an aftertaste. Highly carbonated. I won’t be buying this again. | 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Feb 12, 2007 Bonus Bottle from Purchase at Ledgers Berkeley; Nose of vanilla beans and some caramel; rusty red with a small tan head; heavy vanilla flavor, they must of used real beans because it doesn’t have an artificial flavor or nose; a little caramel shows up, but I couldn’t detect any alcohol warmth! I had some really good vanilla porters, but this kind of sucks! But still better than Bud Light! Odeed (1673), Bakersfield, California, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 12, 2007 (gift from irishboy)orange body with a foamy head that swims to the sides of the glass pretty fast.small webbing from the head.aroma is full of vanilla followed by some spice and caramel malts.flavor is loaded with vanilla and bourbon.followed by a light lager style body.as the person before said in his rating.a thicker body would have helped this beer alot.
