| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jan 6, 2009 Pours clear brown with a red hue and a small off-whit e froth. Aroma is very heavy on the vanilla and sweet caramel malts. Very sugary and almost no hops, just way too much vanilla. Flavor starts with some mild bread like sweetness. Gains a slightly astringent bitter grainy flavoring before being hit hard being more vanilla bean through the finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not terrible as some people seem to think but way unbalanced and not too big of a presence. This is a nice beer for someone who drinks Bud but wants a season version. | 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jan 4, 2009 Pours an opaqe golden reddish color with a thick tan foamy head. Aroma of yeast and vanilla. Taste of vanilla and is very watery. Not much going on here. jmw141 (134), Canton, Illinois, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 3, 2009 12 oz. bottle pour into shaker. Never had bourbon, so I’m not sure what to look for here.
Pours dark orange/amber with a thin, fizzy head. Clear.
Malty aroma, sweet. Slight bourbon and lots of vanilla. Cherry in the nose too.
Very sweet. Vanilla bean flavor. Seems slightly artificial due to how strong it is. Very drinkable, but maybe too sweet. No hops character to balance it out.
Light, watery mouthfeel.
Flavorful and fun. Worth a try for sure, but don’t expect anything amazing here. Props to AMBEV for always trying something new.

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Dec 31, 2008 Purs red amber, relatively clear, with a thin tan head. Nose is malty with some vanilla and spice. Flavor is light, as others have mentioned, with a little bit of hoppy finish. Vanilla and a little spice are the most interesting notes in the flavor. The bourbon is faint, but it and the vanilla get more pronounced as the beer warms. Rather thin. BeerVirgin72 (778), Pataskala, Ohio, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Dec 29, 2008 I had this on tap at the hospitality area of Sea World, Orlando. Served in a plastic cup, so lost points on appearance and aroma. With that said, on tap, this is actually a good attempt for the masses. A bit watered down for the likes of most of us, but very drinkable for non beer folks. And it was free. So, you know. Extra points for free beer. Always. ScottB (73), Bristow, Virginia, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Dec 28, 2008 Pours a caramel malt red with a off white head that dissipates into a small retention. Not much to the nose maybe some vanilla a little acidic. Flavor does not show much in the way of oak or bourbon but the vanilla does linger on the pallette. Smooth and drinkable but nothing special.Different but a nice try from one of the big brother brews realizing the craft beer scene is winning over. Taste does change as it warms.Becomes a little creamier.
