(draft @ MacGregor’s - Henrietta, NY) Copper pour with a creamy and lasting tan head. Very little carbonation. Aroma was mostly vanilla with some malt in it. Very sweet. Taste was semi-sweet with a ton of vanilla flavor in it, all throughout the beer. No bourbon flavor present at all. Just vanilla, and plenty of it.

This pours an attractive reddish copper color with a light beige head that audibly crackled as it diminished. My first reaction to the nose was medicine with an artificial vanilla and cherry extract added. The artificial feel of this beer continues into the taste. Fake vanilla extract, dusty cinnomin, oak, watery bourbon, and I still get a bad berry and white sugar sweetness. I went into this trying to ignore the anti A-B bias, but this isn’t very good.

Bottle. Pours a copper-red body with a small white head. Strong vanilla aroma, some faint dark fruit, toffee, and plum-ish raisins. Artificial candyish vanilla flavour and toasted bread. Falls apart throughout. Hints of alcohol warmth.

Woo, yuck. Pours a decent looking reddish color but with a small fading head. The aroma is strong of bubblegum, and a little vanilla. The flavor is sticky sweet with alot of bubblegum, some banana, and even though that sounds like a nice belgian strong, its nothing like that. Cloying and weird. A bit on the thin side but that’s hardly the main problem here. Undrinkable.

Pours clear bronze with a light tan head. The aroma has vanilla and lots of it. There is also hints of cream, wood and bourbon. Light body with semi-sharp carbonation. The taste is like cream soda with some sharpness and the faintest hint of bourbon. The finish is lightly spicy and sour. This beer was mediocre at best, yet probably the best A-B product I’ve had.
