Aromas of vanilla, fruit, and a hint of spice. Flavor is sweet, mellow. I expected some sort of bourbon or wood flavor. But there wasn’t any. Great A-B product. If I didn’t know it was an AB product, I wouldn’t have recognized it as such. Pours dark copper color with a large white head. Aroma is heavy with the spices, caramel malts and barrel notes, a little grassy and grainy as well. Flavor is initially sweet, with lots of spice, some vanilla and an occasional odd bitter floral note. Medium body and gentle carbonation. Not bad. Dorwart (1831), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jul 14, 2007 Thin head which dissipates quickly. Light carbonation. Nice cookie dough aroma with some caramel and vanilla. Color is a dark mahagony brown. Flavor is big time vanilla and cream soda. Totally synthetic tasting. Dry and wretched. Not sure if I can finish this bottle. Finishes greasy and grassy (rotten grassy). Not a brew that I would ever try again. thornecb (1813), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA

Pours deep translucent cherry brown, with dissapating off white head. Faint aroma of vanilla. Do you like vanilla ice cream? Do you like a cheap macro ale? Then you will like this beer. There is no oak or hop balance. Palidor19 (1798), Brandon, Florida, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Nov 2, 2006 it looked nice and it smelled nice but the taste was kind of artificial for what its worth. the the first sip reminded me of A&W cream soda, and while its works for soda pop, its quite unpleasant for a winter beer of this caliber. other taste of spices were appearant yet dissatisfying. still drinkable enough to give a try rudolf (1787), Buffalo, New York, USA
