Pours dark amber with a thin, fully receding white head. Aroma of spicy phenols and vanilla. Taste is sweet and sticky with vanilla, no bourbon. Not impressed. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with soft carbonation.

This beer pours a dark ruby red color with a very minimal off-white head. The aroma contained hints of caramel, vanilla and a slight hint of flowery hops. The flavors were of caramel malt, a touch of vanilla and sweet berries, with a just a touch of hoppiness. The body, though, was very lacking. It was almost like drinking water. There seemed to be no carbonation or texture at all. The finish was a little sour, with more tones of vanilla and caramel malt.

Bottle. Pours a coppery brown with a decent but ephemeral head. Aromas are heavy with caramel and maybe some cinnamon spices with a touch of vanilla. Flavor is fairly sweet malt with an artificial bourbon taste mixed. Vanilla is present too, but it doesn’t fit in very well. This is a little watery and the elements don’t come together to make something better.

On tap. Poured light copper color with thin, soapy head. Aroma midly hoppy and a whiff of vanilla but not much. Palate was watery. Bourbon and vanilla flavors present. The vanilla tastes artificial. Kind of an off soapy taste at the finish as well. The vanilla and bourbon are clumsy attempts to inject flavor into a bland, mediocre beer.

Nothing too impressive. A slight hint of bourbon was nice. Has a redish orange color. Im drinking one right now actually, neighbors did not like it so I got 4 free beers! Has a nice malty note for a busch beer. Off white head dissapeared in about 10-15 sec. When I had a chance to view the head, it was thin and white, big suprise, lol. Might have turned out better with a different hop variety. Slight holiday spice, I taste bourbon more then anything....which isn’t bad...I had managed to drink the entire beer while writing this, so obviously, not something to savour. UPDATE: Just poured another with the intention of getting a good head...lasted 25 sec.

On tap at MacGregors in Henrietta, NY. Clear amber color with minimal head. A little light on body and alcohol for something that was supposed to be in a bourbon cask. Artificial vanilla flavor. The finish tastes just like a crappy pale lager with adjuncts. This was a cheap attempt at sophistication. Much like the brewery, this beer is for people who want to appear sophisticated without actually doing any work, or learning anything.

Pours a nice glowing red tinted amber with a small frothy white head. Really odd aroma, sweet buttery barrel, vanilla extract, and a hint of roasted malt (from bottle). First taste is of vanilla bean quickly followed by cheap macro barley. Finishes with lots of vanilla bean and some buttery barrel. Its drinkable... The palate is actually pretty nice, medium body, lightly syrupy with nice finer sizzling carbonation.
