| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 21, 2006 On tap at the Emmitt House in Waverly OH. Clear amber color with a small beige head. Weak caramel and vanilla aroma. Flavor of caramel, some fruits and lots of vanilla at the finish. I didn’t know it was A-B until I looked it up here, and I expected from a "bourbon cask ale." zathrus13 (1317), Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 31, 2006 Amber/copper, with a tan head. Aroma is malt, vanilla, and sugar. Flavor is sugar and vanilla. Almost more like soda than beer. Just not very good. guzzler67 (1289), Hanover, Maryland, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jan 5, 2008 Clear, copper appearance with a small white head and scant lacing. Sweet, caramel malt aroma interlaced with vanilla. Taste is sweet as well; vanilla is there, but little evidence of bourbon or oak (bark maybe). Well carbonated, but thin on the palate. Finish falls apart; sour, gummy and short lived. GRM (1289), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 21, 2009 Brown bottle, 341 ml, blind tasted, gift from Mario D’Eer received on savoured on January 19, savoured on January 21 2009; eye: bronze, extra clear, good effervescence, champagne-style beige head that falls and turns into a tiny ring, no lacing; nose: caramel malt, light fruity, light hops, vanilla extract, slight perfume; mouth: light malt, layer of caramel, light hops, finale in caramel malt with a hint of hops, vanilla extract appears after the finale, vanilla becomes more and more present as the beer warms, a bit thin, medium body, rather carbonated, foamy texture, rather sweet, lightly bitter; overall: ordinary but it is always “stressful” to rate a beer in blind tasting

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 15, 2008 Pours a deep amber, no head. Aroma of a Scottish Ale - very malty with a teeny bit of hop. Vanilla flavor up front with a malty finish. Not bad. jrob21 (1279), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jan 21, 2007 On tap at Taco Mac. This reminded me of a flat vanilla flavored coke. Caramel, sugar, vanilla all predominate. Lots of carbonation. I did not realize this was an AB product and it’s nice to see them at least make something that doesn’t taste like piss. As far as beer goes though this one is just ok. As I said I get more coke flavors than beer flavors. turbo (1254), Arizona, USA

Not bad. crazyvin (1254), New York, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 23, 2007 Meh. a sample from tap. A nice amber hue with a thin tan head which had nice lacing. Aroma was mainly of corn and some bourbon, flavor was similar. Nothing too exciting, but not terrible either. Very lacking though.
