Feb 6, 2007 A different beer. Pours a clear copper color with no head. Definite bourbon and vanilla notes in the nose. A light creamy taste. Hint of vanilla, but you can sense the bourbon as well. Probably not the best bourbon, but it’s there. Not bad for AB, but man, i was hoping for better.

Jan 21, 2008 One bottle. Not much head came from this pour. Has a dark brown color and aroma of caramel. Flavors of caramel with a strong amount of vanilla. Overall, not a bad attempt from AB as far as I’m concerned.

Apr 30, 2009 The very concept of a bourbon cask aged beer from Anheuser-Busch is possibly the most entertaining beer related concept ever. That being said, it’s not godawful, the vanilla flavor is okay and there’s a slight hoppiness to it. Can’t really taste any bourbon though.

Jan 7, 2007 Pours an amber color with a yellowish-tan head. Aroma is strong of vanilla and bourbon, chocolate, and caramel. Flaver starts of promising with vanilla and bourbon. Finishes with a strange after-taste. The more I drink the worse it gets.

Feb 7, 2007 Bottle. Brilliant sapphire color with a lasting beige head. Somewhat musty vanilla aroma with some sweet toasted malts. Somewhat fruity aroma as well. Over-the-top vanilla flavor. Tastes like vanilla extract with carbonation. This beer could actually use more sweetness (something I usually won’t say about any beer!) Rather thin mouth feel as well. Slight tobacco notes. Musty finish.

Apr 28, 2008 12 oz bottle born on 10/19/07: Bright cherry and amber pour with a thin white head. The nose is sugary sweet with notes of cherry and vanilla. A nice dose of sweet chocolate and burnt caramel follow up the fruit. Thin, lagerish body. Starts sweet and ends really sweet. A moderate dose of gooey caramel starts things off, with lighter notes of candied cherries. The finish is straight Sugar Babies. Interesting take for AB, but a beefier base beer would definitely offset the excessive sweetness.
