Bottle. Sweet caramel aroma. Reddish amber body, small head. Flavor is sweet, artificial, caramel apples and vanilla. Quite repulsive.

Overwhelming artificial flavor gives it a medicine tast. Definitely would not buy another glass of this.

I had this on-tap while waiting for a flight at the Cincinatti airport. Appearance is a light coffee color, with a head that could have come off a can of Sprite. It was very fizzy, but with virtually no head. This beer smelled like a Boston Creme doughnut to me...sweet with a creamy odor. Mild, but actually kind of pleasant. The taste was of very strong vanilla notes, but they didn’t feel like they belonged. The taste was very chemical in nature, as if this beer was brewed to be bland, and then caramel color and vanilla flavoring were added. Mouthfeel was very thin, a bit like a diet pop. This beer was drinkable because it was so thin, but I didn’t really have much desire to have another one.

Pours amber with a one finger off white head. Aroma a little vanilla, sweet malt. Flavor is caramel, vanilla, and some toasted marshmallow. Better than I expected.

12 oz bottle, thanks to Immy. Pours copper color with small brown head. Aroma of sweet carame and vanilla. Taste like cough syrup. Not very good.

On tap at Ortino’s Pizzeria... Appears a transparent dark amber with a small off white head that fades into a mild cap. Solid streams of carbonation pump up to the top. Smell is of light oak, toffee, caramel, nuts, and brown sugar. Taste is of oak, very mild bourbon-esque vanilla, and a light smokey flavor. Mouthfeel is chewy, sugary, toffee sweet up front with gently hopping that lingers on the middle of the tongue.

I was surprised by this. It was actually fairly decent. What makes it is the nice vanilla aftertaste. the initial taste is a sweet the followed by the vanilla. Body is a too thin, but overall okay.

4/14/07: Bottle.
Red-brown body and slightly hazy. Sugary malt nose. Bubble gum, caramel and molasses flavors. Finish is sweet, burnt and caramel.
