Pours dark copper with a thin white head that has poor retention. Aroma is mostly vanilla, some nut and spice character, but mostly overwhelmed by vanilla. Flavor is huge dose of sweet vanilla up front light spices, everything else is pretty washed over by the vanilla - toasted nuts and sugary sweetness, there is a touch of earthy wood, seems like maple as much as oak. Palate is thin and fairly neutral throughout with a medium carbonation level. This stuff isn’t too bad, not something that I would buy on a regular basis, but somehow they fit a lot of vanilla in there without it becoming too offensive.

Pours a plain amber brown. Smells of sweet vanilla and scotch. The flavor is plain vanilla that is sickening sweet. It finishes with more of a vanilla bean flavor.

Pours out a clear light ruby amber. Had not much head. Odor of hops, vanilla and caramells. Flavor was of hops, light caramel and vanilla. Wasnt sweet nor bitter. Was smooth and reminded me of an abbey ale. Not a top notch beer, but it was pretty good coming from a mega swill/brewery like AB.

Has a very clear light to medium red pour with some faint burnt orange and bronze colors, has medium carbonation and a small off-white bubbled head, aroma of candied vanilla and malt sweetness, has some toasted malt aroma but it is in the background, flavor of malt and malt sweetness, there is a faint taste of alcohol, maybe this is the flavoring added to give a bourbon aged taste? There is some spice flavoring of cinnamon and maybe something else, finish has a small bitterness and ends with some dryness on the palate, I had a hard time drinking this, not sure if it was the spices or the overall recipe, thin mouth feel, this does not smell and taste like a beer that was aged in a bourbon barrel, this is boring, the only thing good about this beer was how it looked and I was glad to be done with this drink.

Reddish pour with no head or lacing. The color is an artificially caramel. Vanilla predominates in the flavor, a thick mouthfeel with some bourbon notes in the aftertaste.

12 oz bottle on sale: Cinnamon, nutmeg, some sort of funky aroma, a bit of malt and that’s about it. Appearance is an amber color with a thick off white head that lingers around for a while. Taste is big on the vanilla, quite overpowering and heavily spiced. Overall, This beer is all over the place. Not a good beer. Booooo

Looks great - amber-red body with a finger of offwhite head. Smells like vanilla and wood. Tastes like wood and vanilla... On the high end of medium-bodied. Not the best beer I’ve had, but not a bad little ale, and pretty good for an AB beer.

Serving: 12 oz. bottle. Appearance: Deep amber color with a small, foamy, light tan head. Aroma: Like I am sniffing a bottle of vanilla extract. That’s pretty much it. Flavor: Like drinking vanilla extract. A bit too sweet and too much vanilla. Thin and nasty. Palate: Medium carbonation with a medium-light but cloying mouthfeel and a long, vanilla finish. Overall: This one is a mess. Avoid this like the plague.
