Appearance is an amber color with a thick off white head that lingers around for a while. Taste is big on the vanilla, quite overpowering and heavily spiced. Overall, This beer is all over the place. Not a good beer. Booooo BigBen2120 (688), Derry, New Hampshire, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Nov 20, 2006 Looks great - amber-red body with a finger of offwhite head. Smells like vanilla and wood. Tastes like wood and vanilla... On the high end of medium-bodied. Not the best beer I’ve had, but not a bad little ale, and pretty good for an AB beer. Elwood (684), Leesburg, Virginia, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Nov 8, 2009 Serving: 12 oz. bottle.
Appearance: Deep amber color with a small, foamy, light tan head.
Aroma: Like I am sniffing a bottle of vanilla extract. That’s pretty much it.
Flavor: Like drinking vanilla extract. A bit too sweet and too much vanilla. Thin and nasty.
Palate: Medium carbonation with a medium-light but cloying mouthfeel and a long, vanilla finish.
Overall: This one is a mess. Avoid this like the plague. buckybeer (666), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 8, 2007 Dark clean amber with a small head. Big vanilla aroma. Flavor is also big vanilla. Pretty much takes over any other flavors. Haslinger (666), Syracuse, New York, USA

I was suckered into buying a 6pack for $10 and was very upset at the waste of money. Would never buy again. Gypsy19 (662), California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 3, 2009 Pours a deep ruby red with a large head that quicly recedes to a lasting lacing. Aroma is of spice, cinnamon caramel malts, a little brown sugar and weakly of hops. Flavor is initially bitter followed by honey and burnt malt. Mouthfeel is decent, medium viscosity.
This stuff really isn’t too bad. Not memorable, but pretty decent coming from Anheuser-Busch. Overall, good.

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 10/20 | Dec 24, 2006 Pours a watery looking translucent burgundy-brown color. Produces an inital loose, fluffy tan head which quickly dissapates to a spotty, wispy film. Aroma is definitely dominated by the vanilla bean which seems authentic (as opposed to an artificially infused aroma). If you like tha aroma of vanilla bean in an ale this will seem somewhat pleasing and authentic. Some aromas of spices and toasted malts also appear faintly in the background. Mouthfeel is very disappointing for a beer of this style. Very thin and watery; no heft or body whatsoever. Weak and wimpy. Flavor starts out with some nice notes of vanilla bean, allspice, nutmeg, and roasted malts but unfortunately quickly trancends into a somewhat medicinal finish. I ended up blending one of these with an Anchor 2006 OSA and one with one of my homebrewed 9.2% abv English Strong Ales which rescued it to some extent. Try one if you so desire, but pass on a whole sixer like I did. punkrkr27 (654), Berkley, Michigan, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Dec 11, 2006 Clear amber pour with a 2 finger off white head that fades very quickly and a small amount of lacing. Very mild aroma of vanilla, bourbon and corn. Flavor is primarily vanilla with a hint of bourbon and finishing with typical BMC corn flavor and a slight hint of cinnamon as it warms. Very watery and thin body.
