Flavor is sweet with vanilla, the slightly higher alcohol content is barely recognizable and there is a little bit of spice from the bourbon. A little cherry flavor, too. Nothing really stands out though, it’s all just mashed together. Better than Beach Bum, not as good as Jack’s Pumpkin Spice.

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Nov 1, 2008 Light amber color with an off white head. Strong vanilla aroma and taste that is a little over powering, mild caramel malt presence but not much else happening. A shame to the bourbon cask ale but once again, props to Michelob for trying. kosko20 (302), Bemidji, Minnesota, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | May 14, 2009 How is this a spice/herb/veggie brew??? Only thing good about this beer is the pour which is clear ruby gold with a minimal off white head. Aroma is s’mores like of chocolate and marshmellow with some wheat but its not like the awesome goodness that s’mores deliver. Flavor is bleh...has some bitterness. Palate is weak, boring and metallic. Sloppy brew. PattyBoy (302), North Liberty, Iowa, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Feb 22, 2007 Pours amber with tan head. Looks nice in a glass. Flavor is mostly vanilla and bourbon, but not in a good way, finish is slightly spicy. The finish is slightly odd, like artificial wood. The flavors just don’t seem to work together with this one. Even though this was from AB I had high hopes and this disappointed. awaller05 (301), Sharon, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 19, 2007 A christmas gift from the little lady,so the rating has a built in bump because of the thought behind it. Over all this beer has a really different smell and after taste. I would recommend this only for the rating if you are fishing for ratings. beerchugger (296), Colorado, USA

I could taste the vanilla amidst the must. There was minimal malt character combined with some off spice. Maybe some moth balls would help. This was an absolute terrible beer. Can’t decide if this bourbon barrel aging is fake or not. Hint of cheap bourbon aftertaste. Very drinkable and not really offensive. As it warms, loses all hints of character and becomes kinda nasty, though as all macros seem to do. Please note I did not buy this for myself! andyhite (293), Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA
