The aroma has a little bourbon but not as much as I had hoped for. There is also caramel malt, a little vanilla, and oak. The appearance is amber with a small head. The flavor has all the elements from the aroma, and like the aroma they are not quite as pronounce as they should be. Still, the favor is unique and good. It is degraded some by an unusual bitterness and a cooked vegetable taste. But, thankfully they too are light. The palate is thin.

Mild cakey vanilla aroma which fades into the standard light lager aroma. Bad label, briliant clear orange beer with a beady tan head. Vanilla, unpleasantly bitter, acidic, not sweet. Except for the vanilla, rather bland and vacant. Body is watery, finish is clingy and bitter. Something tells me that this would be hangover inducing if you had more than 3.

Bottle: Pour a clear orange with a weak bubbly off white head. Immense vanilla aroma. Sweet vanilla extract with only a hint of caramel. Thin, fizzy body. Papery flavor, and much less sweet than the aroma suggests. Hints of vanilla; it’s basically a vanilla seltzer. Pretty bad.

Bottle from Once Upon A Vine - South on 11/26/2008. Very clear copper amber body with a medium foamy off-white head. Light vanilla and caramel aroma. Sweet caramel, with a sticky sweet vanilla cream background. Medium body with moderate carbonation but somewhat cloying. 6/3/5/3/10 - 2.7 11/09/2006: Slightly hazy dark amber body with a small creamy white head. Sweet vanilla aroma. Incredibly vanilla flavor, with a sweet cream background. 5/3/6/3/11 - 2.8

Very weak aroma, light on malt with some caramel and vanilla. No hops in the nose. Dark fake caramel clear with wispy disappearing head. Light watery body with heavy carbonation. Starts dull with fake caramel sweetness and vanilla extract. Like bitter weak vanilla soda. The bitterness at the end is dull and nutty and not at all crisp. Cask-aged my ass - I think this was filtered through oak sawdust and had McCormick’s Vanilla Imitation Extract dripped into it.

12 oz. bottle. Sweet vanilla and nutty aroma. Amber body with decent head. Had a carbinated sweet vanila cream soda flavor. Had a vanilla sweet aftertaste on palate. A warming effect of the alcohol so could be a winter warmer if on sale.

Had on tap at the airport in Ft. Collins. Much better than what you could expect going in. Can definitely notice the vanilla and bourbon effects. Decent stuff.

Interesting to see that Dogbrick bought the same $7 draught in a plastic cup at NW arena. Poured an interesting apple ciderlike clear brown with not much head at all. Aromas of spice and a touch of vanilla. Flavor is caramel, vanilla, and some nutmeg. Palate is medium bodied but a little too watery. Pretty drinkable though for an AB beer. Reminded me some of the Michelob pumpkin ale but more vanilla in this.
