Pours a clear orange amber with big, settling off-whtie head. The ’08 is a shade darker. Aroma of honey, vanilla, and small hint of oak. Flavor is vanilla, caramel malt, and has a slight warming sensation. The ’07 has a slightly fuller body. Suprisingly, I doesn’t really bother me that it’s an AB product. lithy (1700), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

Light smoky aroma, bourbon, malt, and vanilla. Taste is tons of vanilla, thin woody and smoke. The vanilla is nice but unbalanced. JaBier (1219), Capital City, Ohio, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 24, 2006 Bottled from BevMo La Mesa. Pours a medium/dark amber color. Sweet vanilla coke aroma. Some acidity. Right upfront this brew has a nice vanilla flavor going on. Fairly bitter roasted malty flavor. Finish is a little lacking, but not bad. goldtwins (4080), Nesconset, New York, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 16, 2007 Poured a just slightly hazed deep amber color with a large off-white head. Malty aroma of toffee and caramel with light vanilla and I guess you can say bourbon. Mostly just malt and vanilla. The flavor was malty with toffee notes and an artificial vanilla taste. Crisp finish with some warmth at the end. freekyp (900), Thomasville, North Carolina, USA

The aroma has a prominent vanilla character, but no bourbon, as the bottle might suggest. Lightly toasted caramel malts and a bit of hop bite have their way with your tongue before the beer settles into a strong vanilla finish. Softly carbonated. presario (2983), Calgary, Alberta, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 6, 2009 Dark amber. Light head. Araoma of vanilla, alcohol a little funky but pleasant. Grows on you like the flavour which starts a bit muddled with lots of vanilla, caramel and bourbon? Needs a stronger beer base. It is an interesting blend. pantani (1902), Salinas, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 1, 2006 Body is a ruby brown with no head. Aroma is caramel, oak, vanilla, and chocoalte. Taste is heavy with vanilla, light oak, some of the caramel is there, mainly heavy on the vanilla. It’s not bad, but the vanilla is overdone.
