Mouthfeel is very thin but it wasn’t too bad. Give it a try to change from the everyday macro beer. PorterPounder (3138), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Medium copper, slightly sparking pour with a trailing white head. Faint traces of vanilla in the aroma, but not enough to get excited about. Hint of vanilla and cotton candy in the flavor. Searching for the bourbon but cannot locate it. Smooth, even mouthfeel . Finishes slightly hollow. Overall, decent and a nice Holiday touch from AB. hopscotch (5490), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 16, 2006 Draft... Clear, amber ale with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Good retention. The aroma is almost completely nondescript, but comes through with very mild notes of whiskey, caramel and dark, dried fruit (fig, raisin, prune?). Perfectly balanced flavor is lightly sweet, lightly bitter and hints at a mild, woodsy, tartness. Medium-bodied with a mildly creamy mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Finishes thin and medium dry. Better than expected. BrewDad (2370), Olympia, Washington, USA

This was an intresting flavor as the bourbon was not very strong but the vanillia was very nice. This was a sweet tasting brew. This needed more time in the casks. A good try from a huge commerical brewery. Sammy (4013), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

To that end, this sweet and slightly off beverage makes sense. Corn and sugar sweetness. Way too vanilly syrup. Other than that, you can drink it. Medium mouthfeel.

Head fades to a typical A-B thin ring around the glass. Aroma is a light, sweet oak. The vanilla comes out nicely in the flavor along with some caramel malt. Thin palate. Light to medium body. Nice try A-B. Just needs more body and hop presence. Worth a try. highibus (432), Mill Creek, Washington, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 27, 2008 12 oz bottle pours a nice cherry amber color with almost no head. Aroma is nice, but lacking. Some licorice sweet malt and what I would call a fake alcohol aroma. Flavor is much of the same some vanilla and burbon, but poorly done. Like they found some syrup that tastes a little like burbon and put it there. Medium body, a little thin maybe. Not terrible, but I would only have this when nothing much else is available (they do have it at Tucson Ice Cat Hockey games so I will have it there). biz82 (1328), austin, Texas, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 23, 2005 Clear amber with a frothy stable off white head. Mild yeasty, earthy, toffee aroma. Flavors of crystal malt and boubon with hints of vanilla and toasted cookie. Thin body. Finishes with some astringency. Not horrible.
