This was an intresting flavor as the bourbon was not very strong but the vanillia was very nice. This was a sweet tasting brew. This needed more time in the casks. A good try from a huge commerical brewery. highibus (443), Mill Creek, Washington, USA

Some licorice sweet malt and what I would call a fake alcohol aroma. Flavor is much of the same some vanilla and burbon, but poorly done. Like they found some syrup that tastes a little like burbon and put it there. Medium body, a little thin maybe. Not terrible, but I would only have this when nothing much else is available (they do have it at Tucson Ice Cat Hockey games so I will have it there). biz82 (1328), austin, Texas, USA

Flavors of crystal malt and boubon with hints of vanilla and toasted cookie. Thin body. Finishes with some astringency. Not horrible. badnewsbeers (1026), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA

Very clear copper amber body with a medium foamy off-white head. Light vanilla and caramel aroma. Sweet caramel, with a sticky sweet vanilla cream background. 11/09/2006: Slightly hazy dark amber body with a small creamy white head. Sweet vanilla aroma. Incredibly vanilla flavor, with a sweet cream background. 5/3/6/3/11 - 2.8 beerbill (1977), Laurel, New York, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jan 23, 2007 12 oz. bottle. Pours a crystal clear red with a thin head that disappeared after a few sips. Light but pleasant aroma of vanilla, malt, and a touch of bourbon. Flavor is also on the light side but pleasant with vanilla and caramel out front and a hint of bourbon lurking in the background. A bit thin and a little too sugary. This combination of ingredients could result in a splendid beer. I think this beer is a step in the right direction but falls a bit short.
