12 oz bottle, born on Halloween 2007- poured transparent light brown with moderate carbonation. Aroma of malt, notes of vanilla and bourbon. Hits the mouth with a medium body, notes of fruit, vanilla, and bourbon- finish very lacking. Possibly AB’s best offering- and that’s not saying much.

12 oz bottle. Poured a clear dark amber color with a one finger off white head. The aroma was caramel malt and a bit of vanilla. The flavor was caramel malt with a little bit of hops. After the beer got warm, the vanilla appeared in the flavor.

Pours a dark gold, but smells strongly of a sweet caramel. Tastes like vanilla and bourbon. Is this beer? Cute name and concept, but a poor attempt to produce something drinkable.

Draught @ Kahootz - Pours amber with a small white head, aroma is dominated by sweet vanilla cream...flavour is like two parts Amberbock to one part cream soda extract...not entirely unpleasant, but much sweeter than I would normally drink, and I didn’t get any oak...

Date: 12/2/2008 Source:Food Lion Carmel dominated aroma with a touch of vanilla and not a trace of bourbon in the aroma. Clear dark golden with amber highlights. Caramel maltyness with some vanilla and very little bourbon or wood character in the flavor. Very clean finish for an ale. Cloying sweetness. Rather disappointing.

[Bottle] Clear amber with little head. Aroma is spicy with just a hint of alcohol. Flavor is very busy. A lot of spice, some malt, a hint of vanilla. Slightly warm finish. Overall it’s a very confused beer with some potential, if only it could sort out what it wants to be.

Draught: I’m glad that I didn’t find out this was an AB product until I sat down to type in the review. Knowing it was an A-B product may have unknowingly rated it lower than I should. Anyway, this one pours a clear, dark amber color. There was about no head and no lacing at all. The nose was a bit weak, but still pleasant. Whiffs of toffee, caramel and vanilla. The taste ws a bit more substantial, with notes of the toffee, slight oakiness, and it was slightly sweet. It was fairly silky and smooth going down also. This was actually not bad. It is NOT a cask ale, and I really didn’t detect any bourbon flavors in it also. Re-rate 1-19-2006: Boy, is this different from last year. The vanilla is now overpowering. There is a bit of a dry, metallic aftertaste that comes with a hint of bitterness. What happened????
