Brown bottle, 341 ml, blind tasted, gift from Mario D’Eer received on savoured on January 19, savoured on January 21 2009; eye: bronze, extra clear, good effervescence, champagne-style beige head that falls and turns into a tiny ring, no lacing; nose: caramel malt, light fruity, light hops, vanilla extract, slight perfume; mouth: light malt, layer of caramel, light hops, finale in caramel malt with a hint of hops, vanilla extract appears after the finale, vanilla becomes more and more present as the beer warms, a bit thin, medium body, rather carbonated, foamy texture, rather sweet, lightly bitter; overall: ordinary but it is always “stressful” to rate a beer in blind tasting FRANÇAIS Bouteille brune, 341 ml, dégustée à l’aveugle, cadeau de Mario D’Eer reçu le 19 janvier 2009, savourée le 21 janvier 2009; œil : bronze, extra claire, bonne effervescence, mousse beige style champagne qui tombe plutôt rapidement et se transforme en un petit anneau, pas de dentelle; nez : malt caramel, léger fruité, léger houblon, extrait de vanille, très léger parfum; bouche : léger malt, filet de caramel, houblon, finale en malt caramel avec une petite pointe de houblon, apparition d’extrait de vanille après la finale, vanille devient de plus en plus présente à mesure que la bière se réchauffe, un peu mince, corps moyen, plutôt carbonatée, texture mousseuse, plutôt sucrée, légèrement amère; en résumé : ordinaire mais c’est toujours « stressant » de noter une bière à l’aveugle!

A suprising brew. I didnt know it was Michelob so that kept my biases away. I loved the mouthfeel and the flavor. Its very unique and worth a try. I dont know if I could try it again but this was a unique brew that I liked.

I arrived home with a six pack of this beer, not really knowing what to expect. You can smell the vanilla in it, but it’s faint compared to the vanilla taste you get in the beer. Nice color to the beer. It definitely is not as bad as the overall percentile suggests. You may not love it, but it’s a decent brew.

bottle shared with swalden 28. poured an orange/red with an off white head. aroma of obvious bourbon, caramel, wood, and some vanilla. the vanilla threw it over the top for me on this one. flavor of bourbon, wood, and some caramel. light body and high carbonation. this is really not bad at all, i could sip on a few more of these.

yes this is from a macro brewer but I think they are on the right track here. The color is a very nice golden read color. there is little head that does not last and that takes away from the look. the taste is fairly decent a bit of smoke wood up front and a nice sweet vanilla finish. I kind of like it

12oz bottle poured into a tulip glass produced a large tan head with reddish-amber body. Hints of vanilla and bourbon on the tongue, but not much in the aroma. An enjoyable seasonal ale. Try it, it might surprise you.
