Aroma’s of vanilla, are complimented by lots of vanilla flavor. A very drinkable ale not much carbonation after a good pour and lots of creamy beige head that disapeared quickly with little or no lacing. 6% ABV is masked very well with the vanilla sweet finish.I dont know why bourbon cask I dont taste the bourbon at all, we enjoy some very nice bourbon ale’s in KY and this is not one of those.

Way too low a rating for this under-appreciated decent offering by Michelob. It’s more vanilla than bourbon and I’m sure there’s nothing ’cask’ about it..but it’s a guilty pleasure and it’s a good value for the money. Dont listen to the snobs, this is not as bad as they are making it out.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear, amber colored body with a thin, fizzy, tan head that dissipates quickly and leaves a light lacing. Aroma isn’t terrible, but a bit thin. Some dusty nuts with a light, vague vanilla. A light estery fruitiness and maybe a touch of woody dryness. Flavor is graham crackers, nuts, and an artificial vanilla that gives off a bit of a banana bread taste. There is a light cherry fruit and some sort of weird, syrupy tasting candy. Not syrupy in body, but syrupy flavored. Finishes smooth, crisp, and slightly sweet with a good amount of vanilla, a bit of a corny sweetness, and a hint of caramel. Lingers for a shorter duration after a light to medium, smooth body and soft carbonation. Overall, this wasn’t terrible in the least bit, but it simply reminded me of a macro, artificially produced "craft" beer. There was a decent amount of vanilla in the flavor, but it wasn’t natural. I also didn’t get any bourbon whatsoever. I appreciate the brewer’s attempt, but it seems lackluster.

Red-brown por with off-white head. Aroma of vanilla. Taste is vanilla soda watered down. Where is the bourbon flavor? Weak and watery. I should of saved my money. Impulse buying at my weakest.

One of the worst beers I have ever tasted! I wouldn’t soak Bratwurst in this beer for fear of ruining them. The overwelming vanilla aftertaste is rediculas.

12 oz bottle. Very vanilla in aroma. Bourbon is faint. Also, cinnamon. Pours amber with minimal head, mediocre lacing. Extreme vanilla flavor. Very yummy, very different. Kind of watery, though. Lacks depth. Goes downhill with every drink. Gets more and more watery; especially so after half glass. Looks completely flat with no lacing halfway through. Weird beer--never have I ranked a beer so high in aroma and flavor, yet so low in appearance and palate, and then an average overall.

Pours dark copper with a thin white head that has poor retention. Aroma is mostly vanilla, some nut and spice character, but mostly overwhelmed by vanilla. Flavor is huge dose of sweet vanilla up front light spices, everything else is pretty washed over by the vanilla - toasted nuts and sugary sweetness, there is a touch of earthy wood, seems like maple as much as oak. Palate is thin and fairly neutral throughout with a medium carbonation level. This stuff isn’t too bad, not something that I would buy on a regular basis, but somehow they fit a lot of vanilla in there without it becoming too offensive.
