Commercial Description:
Cask, Regular;
A classic bitter, amber in colour with a well hopped dry finish.Named after T'Owd Man of Bonsall, this early medieval carving of a Derbyshire lead miner originally stood for centuries in Bonsall Parish Church. During 1863 the church was renovated and the carving moved, a few years later after being found in a Bonsall garden it was moved to Wirksworth, where it was built into the south transept of the Parish Church.

Cask at Green Man Hotel, Ashbourne, Derbyshire. Amber with a small white head. Malt and fruit aroma. Fresh sweet fruity taste and a mid bitter finish. This was very welcome after a walk in the Staffordshire Moorlands.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, bristol 1/4/08. Deep amber colour with a decent off-white head. Sweetish aroma of caramel and red fruit with some earthy hops. Full mouth feel with more sweetness and a decent dry finish. Pretty good, if not hugely memorable.
