The aroma is straight up grainy malt and light hops. Prett y neutral. The flavor is not bad at all. Goes diwn easy nothing stands in the way or stands out, just a drinkable session beer. Unlike most cream ales it does not suck in anyway. jewedekind (450), Middleton, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 11, 2005 This one pours nice enough with a thin white head. The beer is slightly hazy golden yellow. Nose of freshly mowed hay, continues onto the tongue. Hay with some dry citrus and oak. Creamy no doubt. Rolls on the tongue. I reallly like this beer. Cream ales are a personal favorite, and this sure beats most. delmecum (87), Western Illinois, Illinois, USA

The aroma makes me think of new carpet with some almonds. There is also some very light caramel. The taste has some The taste has some toffee and some toasted malts. There is some light green bean taste. The mouthfeel is smooth and a little chewy. A nice session beer. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 1, 2005 A cream ale that doesn’t suck. This is indeed a glorious day. Hazy gold, impressive thin, spongy head with good lasting power. Nose lightly citrusy, a bit bitter, a mite creamy. Flavor rather good, sweet and creamy, milky, some hops for bite. Malts are vaguely chewy and sweet, honey-like. Really decent stuff, could see myself drinking a number of these in a row. Bigsky66 (148), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 26, 2004 The body is a glowing golden orange, like a thinly scraped jack-O-lantern with a blazing candle placed inside. Aroma, very much resembles a mead! Musty and massive sweet notes of honey, caramelized sugars, I just keep recalling my few experiences with mead!? Creamy and buttery flavor, like a honey buttered bisect. Very fruity, plums, apricots, pears, kind of reminds me of a Tawny Port; but toned down about 50 notches! The palate reminds me of seltzer water…. a bit salty tangy but mildly sweet. Overall, a pretty unique and fairly tasty brew, I think it is my first Cream Ale…ever?
