| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 14, 2009 Pours murky deep brown with a very large tan sudsy head. The aroma is very yeasty with some brown sugar, caramel, dates, raw dough and an overall richness to everything. Medium body that’s crisp with mouth filling carbonation. The taste has what is on the aroma, but is much sweeter and quite sharp for the style. The finish is almost soda-like. A decent example of the style. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 27, 2009 Deep dark reddy brown with a white head that fades to leave a constant creamy covering. Aroma is sweet and raisiny with a similar taste and a hoppy tart finish. bhensonb (4345), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 22, 2009 Bottle from Ledger’s. Pours a near ruby color with a creamy beige head. Aromas of dates and raisin. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is date/raisin, brown sugar malt with some mild hop. It has a sharp note - leather? It is a bit astringent. It’s a bit earthy. Certainly drinkable. Hard to decipher. It’s going rather tangy with time. MennoO (117), Haarlem, Netherlands
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 21, 2009 bottle, brown with lots of yeast particles and creamy head. also a creamy mouthfeel. apart from this nice creaminess, there’re not a lot of distinct flavors, which makes this brew a little flat. 1FastSTi (2575), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jun 15, 2009 Tap at The Palm Tavern. I had 2 glasses this was so good. The beer pours to a murky brown body with a white head. The aroma is sweet Belgian yeast and malt with some tobacco and complex brown sugars.
Sweet tobacco malts throughout the aroma and flavors. Perhaps some earthy fruits. Clean Belgian yeasts and nice light hops. The palate is sweet but finishes really clean. For lack of a better term, this is a lawnmower beer and would be nicely enjoyed on a hot summer day. RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 3, 2009 Cloudy brown with a tight white head. Aroma of champagne yeast and dark fruits, maybe figs. Flavor is bittersweet dark fruit with a nice alcohol warmth. Tangy and good. bb (2930), Martinez, California, USA
