alafito (331), tijuana, Mexico May 3, 2008 Brought by my parents trip to Belgium. Not the bliss i was expecting. A slightly watery palate, very dry but with sweet aromas of chocolate, beets and licorice. A bit astringent too with a carton taste to it.
KimJohansen (5208), Copenhagen V, Denmark Dec 21, 2008 Clear reddish brown with medium beige head. Sweet aroma with spices, roasted malt and hoppy notes. Sweet flavour with plenty of hops for a dubbel. Roasted malt and caramel notes. jerc (3330), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 17, 2008 2008-10-14. Ruby touched brown body with a modest foamy beige haed. (3+) Intersting aroma, light floral notes, sweet base. Similar flavour, light hops and florals, sweet sugary malt base. (7+) Smooth average to medium bodied palate. (3+) Pretty decent but likely would not stand out in a crowd of Belgian brews. Bottle from Belgium trip Cletus (3614), Connecticut, USA Oct 12, 2008 Pours brown with a white head.
