Brought by my parents trip to Belgium. Not the bliss i was expecting. A slightly watery palate, very dry but with sweet aromas of chocolate, beets and licorice. A bit astringent too with a carton taste to it.

Clear reddish brown with medium beige head. Sweet aroma with spices, roasted malt and hoppy notes. Sweet flavour with plenty of hops for a dubbel. Roasted malt and caramel notes.

2008-10-14. Ruby touched brown body with a modest foamy beige haed. (3+) Intersting aroma, light floral notes, sweet base. Similar flavour, light hops and florals, sweet sugary malt base. (7+) Smooth average to medium bodied palate. (3+) Pretty decent but likely would not stand out in a crowd of Belgian brews. Bottle from Belgium trip

Pours brown with a white head. Smells of dark fruit, caramel, tea, light spice. Tastes spicy and fruity with a tarte finish. Some good floral hints emerge as this one warms up. Enjoyable.

33bl bottle. BB Dec 08. Poured very deep amber (almost brown) in color with a large tan head that diminished leaving light lacing on the glass. Aroma of bread and light roasty notes. Tastes of bread toast, sweet caramel malt, dark fruits and finishes a little on the thin side. Ok.
