A honey colored body with floating yeast and a big noisy soapy white head. Good retention. Aroma of yeast, citrus, and hop. A yeasty, earthy, funky flavor. Wheat and hop are present. This is a dry beer with only the smallest hint of caramel malt for sweetness. No carbonation at all. A sour and mildly bitter hop aftertaste. Mildly interesting.

(Bottle at Poirotti on 2008-04-25) Light amber colour. White medium sized head. Fruitiness from yeast in nose. Palate is quite acidic and bit dry. Taste is a combination of yeast, small amounts of malts and hop bitterness. Stinging aftertaste.

Pours slightly hazy golden with a fine frothy white head. Aroma of uncooked apple pie, doughy and sweet. Sweet yeasty flavor. Slight sour finish. Tastes exactly like it smells. Nice full mouthful and the carbonation fluffs it up perfectly. Some chalkiness. Straight forward and balanced. Really nice beer, quite refreshing, but not extremely interesting.

Sampled as Witkap Pater Stimulo at The Belgian Beer Fair, Oslo. Golden body under an impressive rocky, white head. Mild citric aroma with wheat. Tart herbs and ripe fruits in flavour. Yeast and a hint of alcohol in the ending. Dry palate, but lively carbonation (10.04.2008).

Bottle. Fennel and pine hops aroma - strong. Hazy pale yellow with large fluffy white head. Sweet peach/lemon peel and fennel/licorice flavor. Wow - this beer is something different - has Witbier and Saison characteristics. Spectacular.
