| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 11, 2007 Pours a slightly cloudy gold with some white head. Nose is strong with yeast and sweetness. Flavor is almost like cake (that is the first thing that came to my head) and on the very end you get a sudden slap of yeast. I think the cake reference is due to a doughy and almost cake like character. As I drink on I find that there is a woody middle flavor. Feel is not highly carbonated, so there isn’t much bubble on the tongue. Drinkable. I would go back to this one again, but not before taking a stroll through several other tripels.
