| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Dec 22, 2006 Bottled. Cloudy yellow colour with huge creamy head. Aroma is citrus fruits, yeast and slight cooked vegetables. Flavour is wheat, acidic fruits and cooked vegetables. The vegetably notes seem to be something typical for the witkap series atleast. In a bad way. This would be nice, if it wouldn’t be for the vegetably notes. hides it’s alcohol% very well. Nice palate in this one too, pleasantly carbonated and also the flavour makes a kind of fullflavoured mouthfeel. dkoonce (888), People’s Republic of Athens, Ohio, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 12, 2006 Bottle. Light straw color, with a bit of a haze and a good sized white head. Fairly strong wheat aroma. Light body, with a refreshing tangy flavor. Not sure this measures up to some of the triples I’ve had but, not a bad beer. beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 22, 2006 From the bottle. I really didn’t enjoy this brew, tasted very stale and metallic. I will make sure to get a new sample to rate cause this just didn’t do it. Almost no carbonation, very flat for a tripple with a stale malt and citrus taste up front and a faintly spicy finish. Pours hazy gold with a thin almost non-existant white head. I’ll try to find a new sample next time I see it. SudsMcDuff (1695), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Nov 6, 2006 2nd beer at the party. Smell is mildly spicy and not too much head. The flavor is pretty simple on this and a little disappointing. Almost light per the style. iowaherkeye (1860), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Nov 5, 2006 11.2oz, no date. Pours a cloudy golden with a one finger bone white head. Aroma has some bread dough, bananas, lemons, and candy sugar. Flavor is much the same with a little bit of cardboard--not enough to make me mad though. Somewhat dry finish. Kinda watery with moderate carbonation. Not too bad, though doesn’t quite fit what a tripel should be. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 24, 2006 Plenty of fruity esters along with some spicy character and some doughy and biscuity notes in the very enjoyable aroma. Opaque whitish yellow body is very bubbly and crowned by a full and dense white head that lasts well and sticks to the sides of the glass. Citrus stands out among tropical fruit flavours with a crisp bitterness that keeps the sweetness from dominating and plenty of lingering spice in the aftertaste. Minor suggestions of alcohol remind you not to quaff it too quickly. Medium body with soft textured bubbles that dash themselves on the tongue opening the tastebuds. Very enjoyable! Tulip glass. Cellar temperature. Bottle (Bièropholie, Aug-06). Glouglouburp (2865), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 19, 2006 Had this one on the patio of Poechenellekelder in full view and just a few meters away from the Brussels famous Manneken Piss so I won’t copy word for word what I wrote in my notes about its appearance but I guess it means cloudy yellow-blonde body with a thin layer of big bubbles. Very nice tripel. Lemon pie flavour. Full of hay, citrus and some salty spices. Some hops at the end. Very well balanced without any alcohol flavour. Refreshing and superior tripel.
