Fancy waxed bomber from TBK. Pours a very pale amber with a finger or so of foamy head. Aromas are faint, but interesting, with a lot of light fruit and pepper to the nose. Flavor is pretty decent... quite a bit of fruit there: nectarine, pear, and honey deliver some sweet malt with a little bit of pepper to the finish. This is fairly light and airy, but still has a bit of an alcoholic bite to it... nothing out of hand, but you can tell it’s there. Finish is pretty good. Fairly crisp and refreshing.

22 oz. wax capped bottle from The Brew Kettle 5/1/09: Light amberish body w/ kind of a short lived white head. Nose is of coriander with some orange. Yeast is a bit weak and white peppery, but overall, a nice aroma. Fruitiness is orange peel. Wheat malt shows up as it warms. Flavor is much the same. Although wheat malt is prominent in the flavor. Some peppery yeast is a bit light as are spices, but coriander is evident. Malty flavored and lightly sweet, but to be expected for a X2 style. Finishes corianderish and well balanced between spicy yeast and actual spice additions. Carbonation helps dry it out a little bit. Aftertaste is coriander and light orange peel, but mostly coriander. M/F is fuller medium body, medium CO2, a bit biting, which helps to dry it out a bit. I like this beer, and it seems like I might have had this before.... Hmmm, I wonder if I’ve had this before? I think I have an idea where, but I won’t tell. I do like this beer, but a true Wit... Not necessarily. Then again, who’ s ever heard of a "double wit?"
