mgermani (862), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Mar 3, 2009 Other than the extra 0.8% ABV I’m not sure what distinguishes this from the original Wittekerke. Pours a cloudy dull straw with a ring of foam and some lacing. Aroma is full of coriander, spicy and sweet. Taste is full and sweet with lots of coriander, but a light tartness to balance. Lingering coriander finish. Body is coating and lightly carbonated. Very quaffable. Yves (989), Beerse, Belgium Dec 26, 2008 Hazy blond coloured beer with medium diminishing white head. A pleasant and refreshing beer. A prickly carbonation. Good pineapple fruit. Some yeast in the finish. A nice rough character. A decent drink thewolf (5623), Kolding, Denmark Jun 19, 2008 Bottle, bought @ Dagli’Brugsen, Nordborg.
Pours hazy, pale yellow. A small, fizzy, disappearing, off-white head. Aroma has quite a lot of caramel, toffee and light yeastiness. Okay, but a bit thin mouthfeel. Flavour is lightly oxidized, toffee and lots of honey. Really isn’t that nice.
