Wittekerke Speciale (Millennium)

Other than the extra 0.8% ABV I’m not sure what distinguishes this from the original Wittekerke. Pours a cloudy dull straw with a ring of foam and some lacing. Aroma is full of coriander, spicy and sweet. Taste is full and sweet with lots of coriander, but a light tartness to balance. Lingering coriander finish. Body is coating and lightly carbonated. Very quaffable.

Hazy blond coloured beer with medium diminishing white head. Yeasty bit spicy aroma. Full palate. Finish is fruity sweet, special taste (spiced). Good one.

Bottle 0,25ltr: Hazy yellow/amber looking ale for the wintertime. Its have an more coriander taste than the regular one.

25cl, from the brewery, complex Winter brew, not balanced, yet heavy, cloudy, good head, nothing special

On tap. Tastes like a dryer version of their normal witbier, more bitter flavours added like grapefruit. Cardboard, flat palate. Not good.

250ml bottle from Beers of Europe. A pleasant and refreshing beer. A prickly carbonation. Good pineapple fruit. Some yeast in the finish. A nice rough character. A decent drink

Bottle, bought @ Dagli’Brugsen, Nordborg.
Pours hazy, pale yellow. A small, fizzy, disappearing, off-white head. Aroma has quite a lot of caramel, toffee and light yeastiness. Okay, but a bit thin mouthfeel. Flavour is lightly oxidized, toffee and lots of honey. Really isn’t that nice.
