Appearance: What can I say? Yellow. Brightly so, like a Hoegaarden on steroids. Like perhaps the beer includes carotenoids.
Aroma: At first blush, coriander, with a sweet grain-maltiness. At second blush, more of the same, with a nice shallow depth.
Taste: OK. Classic wit, nothing spectacular, but nothing off either.
Palate/Mouthfeel: A bit on the sticky side but amply refreshing.
Overall: Not my favorite witbier, but it will definitely suit the bill if you’re looking for a wit to drink and it happens to be what they have. All in all, somewhat plain. Interesting that the "kerke" in question on their label/tap handle is a plain white clapboard frame thing, because that’s the overall effect of the beverage: plain, unassuming, mainline-protestant-style witbier. No stone towers or fancy stained glass with this one.

Aug 20, 2008 Can poured a very light yellow with a small head that disappears quickly. Lemon is the major aroma with some yeast. Slightly sour taste with some orange in there. Not bad, just not what I come to expect from Belgium.

Aug 20, 2008 Pours a hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma of yeast, citrus, banana, spices. Flavor is citrusy, unfiltered wheat, lemon, fruits a touch of tartness. Just ok for me.

Aug 14, 2008 On tap. Pale hazy yellow colour, white head. Aroma of citrus, coriander, yeast. Flavour is fresh at first, citrus, wheat and a bit sweet, but has a bit of a cardboard finish (skunky hops?).

Aug 12, 2008 This is a Belgian white that I enjoyed. While it may seem light in comparison to some of the craft whites available, it is a nice sipper or quaffer. Aromas are balanced floral hop notes, citrus, corriander and light tart fruits. Flavors are a subtle balance of sweet citrus, appley tartness, herbs and malts, with a mild sweet bittery finish. Higher overall impression is based on the easy drinkability and balance of all the areas.

Aug 12, 2008 aroma is okay but not outstanding, beer looks true to style, flavor is a little sweet i miss some sourness or citrus to balance, refreshing but boring.
