bottle, received from pivnizub - thank you so much! - golden yelow, slightly hazy, perfect head, creamy and long-lasting. Hoppy nose. Hoppy and malty flavours, perfectly balanced, bitter-sweet character, lovely hops. Lovely carbonation. Long lasting aftertaste. This is fantastic, I think I could drink gallons of it!

(bottle, with many thanks to pivizub !) Slightly hazy golden colour with a fluffy and stable white foam. Aromatic soft sweet malty aroma with notes of citrus and flowery hops. Bitter flavour with a late arriving sweetness, medium body, crispy carbonation. Soft malty, citrusy taste with well balanced floral and herbal hops; dry and elegant bitter finish with a lingering sweetbitter aftertaste. Superb !

Bottle (bought at the brewery) Slightly hazy, golden coloured, small fluffy head, quickly diminishing; huge, lovely, seductive herbal and floral hoppy aromatic explosion with some sweet-malty spots; enormous soft, bitter flavour, soft body; lingering bitter, spicy, but velvet, finish. Wow, wow, wow ! One of the best beers I’ve ever tasted............ Re-rate 09/08: Quality of foam extremely improved: firm, big white head head, extremely persistent; extremely smooth body. Superb, great, gorgeous Bier; a better one You’ll hardly find even in Franconia.........

Here’s to a remarkably pure light golden color that shines despite its haze and produces a perfect rocky, large white head. Generous yeast/hop interplay greets the nose with delicate hay touches blending in dry typically german floral aromatics and a light earthy background. Balance completed by typical bright zesty lemon/grapefruit notes. Superb example, more or less what a wallonian belgian pils, pseudo-saison should aspire to, beauty in simplicity. Foamy, expansive carbonation manages to remain unagressive while almost easing the already ridiculously easy-going quaffable character. Wondrous ending leaves us with a pinch of pepper that begs for further study.

Impressions from the hof:
-Great bobbing foam recedes swiftly into the krug.
-Grapefruity, spicy (gingery?), and herbal hops form a seductive perfume.
-Grassy, peppery hop bitterness surveys the back of the tongue for quite a while.
-The tropical fruitiness functions efficaciously with the hops.
-Active, but soft carbonation serves the delicate body well.
-A marriage of complexity, and tasteful drinkability.

From 2 bottles, at the brewery, and back home.

Bottle. Golden color with a touch of haziness. Slight peararoma. Woody flavor with some hops. Thin to medium bodied. Hints of plastic. Tasty, but slightly disappointing.
