Grassy minerally nose- Dry and slim, a bit fruity. Less malty and less soft than their Vollbier. Minerals and hops are more evident instead, but results in a less drinkable beer. fonefan (11890), VestJylland, Denmark

| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jun 11, 2006 Here’s to a remarkably pure light golden color that shines despite its haze and produces a perfect rocky, large white head. Generous yeast/hop interplay greets the nose with delicate hay touches blending in dry typically german floral aromatics and a light earthy background. Balance completed by typical bright zesty lemon/grapefruit notes. Superb example, more or less what a wallonian belgian pils, pseudo-saison should aspire to, beauty in simplicity. Foamy, expansive carbonation manages to remain unagressive while almost easing the already ridiculously easy-going quaffable character. Wondrous ending leaves us with a pinch of pepper that begs for further study. pivnizub (5106), Bochum, Porúří, Germany
