cracking session bitter, very nice brown hue slightly malty and a nice bitter sweet aftertaste. Cask at the Norman Knight on a Monday lunchtime, was on a mini tour and although the pub was closed Mike was brewing at the back of the pub, took some time to show me round and very pleasant mini visit it was too

Tasting notes from Norman Knight (2004). Amber-brown with thin head. Sweet malt and biscuit aroma notes. Fruity malts with balancing citrus flavours. Dry finish. Nice, but prefer the "toad" for a session.

Cask at The Norman Knight, Whichford, Warwickshire. Amber with a small white head. Sweet malty aroma and flavour. Good bitterness to follow. Simple session ale, drinkable and enjoyable.

[Cask at Volunteers Arms, GBBF 2005] A hazy amber beer with a small beige head. The aroma is sweet estery combined with diacethyl. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel.

Cask conditioned and handpulled at the Brunswick, Derby. Looks like I got the rogue barrel, then; barnyard aroma, salty taste. Not promising.
