Spiesy (2331), Global Citizen, Greater London, England Oct 1, 2003 Cask Conditioned, at the Saint Albans Beer Festival, 2003. Black alright, with a bubbly head that settled quickly to nothing. Roasted malts are in good supply. The beer benefits from the stronger alcohol and has more body then most milds. Pub (4123), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England Jun 8, 2003 Cask Conditioned at The Norman Knight, Whichford. This is the only place that you can get this beer which is a deep Red Brown with a Malty thick head. The beer is aimed as a mild which is fair enough but it is more than that and lands quite close to a stout. There must be top quality malts and hops used here as the balance is particularly good for a mild. Dry with rich fruit and bitter notes. The Landlord, Mike, has produced a very drinkable, moorish rich beer that rates high within its class.
