On Cask at Market Porter. Dark brown body. Tan head. Malty nose. So smooth. Notes of chocolate, coffee and toffee. Taste pops well. Nice.

Tasting notes from Norman Knight (2004). Dark brown with amber hints. Lasting / sticking white head. Malty, carmel and fruity aroma. Carmel, mild toffee, and fruit flavours with balanced hops. Nice ESB.

Cask at the Woolpack, Banbury, 14-10-07 Poured dark amber with a thin off white head. The aroma was malty and fruity. Tasted initially a bit sticky with toffee and then some stewed prunes took over and that is all I could think of I just couldn’t move away from the prunes. There was a nice hoppiness sitting in there and overall I felt that this was a smashing beer served in really good nick, loved it.

Cask@Coventry Beer Festival 2006. Very dark brown beer with a light and malty aroma and a malty and slightly sweet flavour. Overall a gentle malty bitter.

Gravity at the Banbury Beer Festival. Sampled with Maeib. Brown, no head. Chocolatey, deep toned beer. A grainy mouthfeel and hazy feel. Good length of flavour.
