Jan 20, 2008 Tasting notes from Norman Knight (2004). Reddish-brown with white head. Mild hop and malt roast aromas. Surprised by the level of maltiness for a bitter, with lite hop notes. Not a ton of flavour, but drinkable.

Feb 19, 2007 Cask conditioned at The Woolpack, Banbury. Chestnut colour with white head. Good best bitter, plenty of flavour with deeper roasted malt and fresh hoppy notes. I got a hint of mango on the flavour. Decent hoppy finish. Enjoyable.

Murky, mahogany colour with raspberry tint. Stagnant flavour to when there is any. Wizard didn’t have the best of sessions at this fare.
