ciderguy (97), Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 3, 2003 First go at an "organic" hard cider and can honestly I only noticed subtle differences with a hard cider which might have been prepared otherwise. As most know, a cider has minimum amount of head, but this had even less. Its aroma was sweet and pleasant and the cider left essentially no aftertaste. It was mildly dry, but did lack a distinctive sweetness that I was looking for. Overall it really didn't have a profound impact on me one way or another. I guess if the day comes I decided to go "all natural", this cider would leave well enough satisified.
whaleman (2168), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 5, 2004 Loose, fast-fading white head, medium, steady carbonation, and a light straw body. Aroma has a sweaty quality plus overripe apples. Nice subtle flavor, not overly tart, and surprisingly dry. In addition to apples, the flavor suggests white grapes and pears. Woody/tannic finish. Not bad. BückDich (4559), Boise, Idaho, USA Jun 30, 2004 Pale yellow, nearly clear. Low carbonation but enough to generate a small ring of white head on top. The aroma has some light alcohol and faint musty apples. The flavor has a light sweet and tart balanced note along with some definate apple flavor. Finishes with a bit of sulfer but not detracting from the taste. I like the lack of brutal sweetness that you find in some new ciders these days. What confuses me is how a 750mL bottle of this @ 6% alcohol is only 100 calories (says so on the bottle). Fairly watery and uncomplex overall. JagerQueen (123), Shoreline, Washington, USA Apr 9, 2004 Pours a clear, clean light golden color, a little effervescent but not over carbonated. Aroma is tart and sweet. Flavor is very dry, no cloying sweetness. Very light, drinkable. harlequinn (2746), Tacoma, Washington, USA Apr 8, 2004 Not terribly hard to drink. Pours a golden grainey amber color with some slight fizziness, but not much else. The aroma is sweet. The flavor is very light, tangy and dry. A good session cider.
