Commercial Description:
This is a highly drinkable amber ale with delicious hop flavors and aromas, available in 6 pks and on draft. The second beer from Wolaver’s to be named in honor of an organic farmer. Frustrated that organic hops had to be shipped in from overseas, we set out to find a more local source. Pat Leavy agreed to grow organic hops for our brewery and this All American ale is brewed with his organic Fuggles, Goldings, and Magnum hops, and American-grown organic malted barley. We salute America’s organic farmers- especially Pat Leavy! Cheers!

Pours a clear dark yellow with a nice white head that retains rather nicely. The aroma is clean, but somewhat muddled in the malt and hops. Taste is clean and full with a mild hops flavor that lingers nicely. The mouthfeel is gentle and nice. the back side is nice too. A good beer but not great. Thank’s Uncle Steve for the free Beer!

Bottle [12oz] shared with and courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a clear golden-orange with an average size diminishing white head. Aroma smells slightly stale along with caramel malt, light floral hops, grain and something odd, like tea and vegetables or something. Malty flavour along with grain, a decent bitter finish and whatever that odd characteristic from the aroma is, it’s there but just lightly. Average bodied. It’s fine, an O.K. beer.

Poured a clear amber with a medium amount of foamy offwhite head. Aroma is smokey, roasted malts, and earthy hops. Flavor has a burnt biscut base with slight caramel sweetness and a dirty damp earth hop finish. Was not really a fan of this beer, nor have I been of any of wolavers stuff.

Mild smokey malt aroma. Clear golden color with a medium white head. Moderately sweet beginning with a very light finish. Light palate also.

12oz bottle,. Poured a medium and clear amber olor wtih an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of floral hops, somewhat earthy, and I’m getting a burnt almost smokiness. Tastes of caramel, lighter floralness, and lighter earthiness. Thinner body.

FCBF 09. Light Amber in color. Toffee malt in the aroma and flavor. Some fruit in there? Some bitterness in the finish.
