12oz bottle acquired in trade with emacgee (thanks!). Poured a medium golden color with a huge sized off white head. Aromas of grains with some citrus in the back ground. Tastes of the same grains, citrus, and some caramel.

Taste 2/9 Bottle. Looks: Clear iced tea body with no head. Aroma: Pronounced Malty grain and some hay. Taste: Is mostly grain with a rather thick body. Tingles the tongue. A medium bodied mild with wheat.

The aroma is metallic and malty with some grassy hops. The appearance is hazy amber with a nice head. The flavor is like the aroma with citrus, caramel, and butterscotch. The palate is smooth but also thin and fizzy on the tongue. The beer is nice tasting but there is an awful metallic smell and taste that won’t go away.

Bottle shared by Butters @ the Barrios tasting. Bottle marked best by 02/09. Poured golden with a thin off-white head. Sweet aromas of caramel and toffee. The flavor found subdued malts that made a sweet initial but a light bitter ending. Medium body.

12 oz bottle shared at the Barrios Nashville tasting, courtesy of Butters. Poured a clear gold color, with red and orange highlights. Not really the colors one would expect from a blonde. A one finger bubbly white head topped the brew, and quickly dissipated to almost nothing. The aroma was heavy caramel, and a buttery note. Again the caramel wasn’t what I was expecting here. The flavor was caramel base, with a floral hop presence and a lingering bitter finish. The palate was above average with a light/medium body, a perfect amount of carbonation and a crisp, clean mouthfeel. This is a very confused beer, but I thought it was a decent, drinkable brew.

Bottle at Barrios’ tasting. Pours medium amber with a small head (golden ale?). Faint toasty and toffee aroma. Light bodied in a British Bitter like manner. Flavor pale malts, toffee, caramel countered by a muted bitterness. Perhaps a little diacetyl. Not really a Golden Ale in my book. Closer to an ESB if I had to guess.

Bottle. Aroma is malty and semi-sweet. Golden body, no head. Flavor is extremely mild and watery. A trace of malt.
