12oz bottle acquired in trade with emacgee (thanks!). Poured a medium golden color with a huge sized off white head. Aromas of grains with some citrus in the back ground. Tastes of the same grains, citrus, and some caramel.

Surprisingly dark - more orange than gold. Thin white head. Spicy, ever-so sweet aroma. Bready, toasty, even a little nutty. Actually pretty good, for a gloden ale. On tap, Flying Saucer, Raleigh.

The aroma is metallic and malty with some grassy hops. The appearance is hazy amber with a nice head. The flavor is like the aroma with citrus, caramel, and butterscotch. The palate is smooth but also thin and fizzy on the tongue. The beer is nice tasting but there is an awful metallic smell and taste that won’t go away.

Appearance: Pours a clear, golden-amber body with a smallish, bubbly, white head. Smell: Soft, mild aroma smelling of lightly toasted malts and spicy, floral hops. Again, it’s all mild, mind you. Taste: Standard malted barley with some light hints of toasted malts and a dry caramel character. Spicy, faintly earthy hops with a light imparted bitterness, more than enough to combat any leftover sweetness. A brief reappearance of mild malt hints, then it’s off to the dry finish with just the faintest amount of lingering bitterness. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: Easily approachable, easily drinkable, and, I suspect, a beer to "pay the bills" -- all key components for a fledgling beer company. Sure, your inclusion of Munich malts has tossed the brew into the darker shades of the Beer Rainbow, thereby causing some to fuss about the beer being designated a "golden" ale, but this is really a minor quibble. However, from a marketing standpoint, White Wolf Golden Ale sounds just a hair more enticing than simply White Wolf Ale, so I can fully understand the decision.
