Quite possibly the best beer I ever tasted, and now my regular drinking beer, well deserving of a perfect score in my opinion. Medium in body, deep in color, rich in malty aroma, grainy but smooth on the palate! EXCELLENT BEER!!!

Appearance: Pours a clear, golden-amber body with a smallish, bubbly, white head. Smell: Soft, mild aroma smelling of lightly toasted malts and spicy, floral hops. Again, it’s all mild, mind you. Taste: Standard malted barley with some light hints of toasted malts and a dry caramel character. Spicy, faintly earthy hops with a light imparted bitterness, more than enough to combat any leftover sweetness. A brief reappearance of mild malt hints, then it’s off to the dry finish with just the faintest amount of lingering bitterness. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: Easily approachable, easily drinkable, and, I suspect, a beer to "pay the bills" -- all key components for a fledgling beer company. Sure, your inclusion of Munich malts has tossed the brew into the darker shades of the Beer Rainbow, thereby causing some to fuss about the beer being designated a "golden" ale, but this is really a minor quibble. However, from a marketing standpoint, White Wolf Golden Ale sounds just a hair more enticing than simply White Wolf Ale, so I can fully understand the decision.

12 ounce bottle from City Liquors in Winston-Salem, NC. Pours a hazy orange-amber color with a large head. Decent retention and lacing. Aroma is fruity with citrus, stone fruits and grain. Taste is caramel, bread, citrus. Medium bodied,

Copper, clear, small white head. Aroma is bread, sugar--bordering on saccharin. Flavor is similar--grain, touch of yeast. Not sure what the beer is really supposed to be. Has a bit of Belgian yeastiness, but also has a great deal of sugar in aroma.

12 oz bottle. Pours gold with enormous offwhite head... quite overcarbonated methinks. The aroma is strong green apple with some spicy herbal hints and some raw grain. The flavor is grainy with some raw plant notes and a spicy finish. Drinkable, but not that great.
